This one deserves special note. They found purpose alone showed no relationship to financial performance. Purpose combined with clarity produced systematically higher future accounting and stock market performance. That is an empirical result that maps directly onto my argument: documenting the grid is what converts conviction into value.

ADDITIONAL CITATION TYPES - STAY TUNED
Ranked by what will move a skeptical reader:
1. My own primary evidence. This is the highest-leverage addition available and it is the only one that converts me from an uncited voice into a source. Once the private beta runs for 30 days, my team will publish the number of Visionaries who completed the Audit, the distribution of readings across the five Phases, and the internal consistency of each dimension. An assessment instrument that reports its own reliability statistics is treated differently by investors and successors than one that does not.
2. Anonymized client case studies with before-and-after figures. Watch for updates on case studies and past projects being added here weekly.
3. Lexical and primary-text sources. I'll continue to blog based on studies validated by digital libraries, lexicons, concordances, along with my own anecdotal observations. I'm very "Berean" about my studies and I don't take the writings of other authors at face value, I dig until I find a basis of philosophy that I can stand on.
4. Industry data on succession and exit. Watch for references added from Gallup, Baldrige, The Exit Planning Institute's State of Owner Readiness reports, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte, KPMG, the University of St. Thomas, Babson University, and Ernst & Young, especially any family business surveys. These are trusted references by top advisors in family offices and transition agencies.
5. Professional standards bodies. ASQC, ISO, Baldrige, ICF, and EMCC competency frameworks support my adept use of coaching vs. consulting or advisory methodologies as a recognized position rather than a single default modality that limits my work. I was certified to the ICF standard and carry that ethos forward. I lean into the Baldrige criteria, having experienced firsthand how robust it is, when I worked alongside the founder of VisionOne High Performance consulting agency for nearly two years.
6. Methodology appendices. I'll add articles describing how my methodologies and toolkits were constructed, what each dimension of my Visionary Audit measures, and why the phases of development are set where they are. The Audit and Journal companion guides have already been added to this blog.
